Eduard Hodos is a Ukrainian public figure,publicist, writer and founder of a unique library with a multi-million army of readers. How did he do it? Biography

He was born on June 6, 1945. According to his autobiography, he graduated from the Kharkov Pedagogical Institute. In 1990, Hodos took an active part in the reconstruction of the dilapidated Kharkov Choral Synagogue. Gradually, she settled down, in her began to hold worship services and holidays.

How it all began?

In October 1990, a delegation consisting of representatives of the six largest Jewish communities in the USSR flew to New York.

During a visit to America guests from the USSRmet with financiers and industrialists, visited meetings of the Senate, talked with senators and heads of the US rabbinate. These events were widely covered in the press.

For three weeks Hodos Eduard was in the US onpersonal invitation of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Schneerson. The one who blessed Hodos for a high position. To promote the revitalization of Jewish life in communities and the creation of local capital. The main goal is to penetrate the political institutions of the country.

According to the baron, he personally faced a specific task: to make the then mayor of Kharkov "his own", since according to Chabad, according to his mother, he is a Jew.

At the same time, in the USA, a charitythe organization "Gate of Mercy", its entry into Kharkov was to take place through the fund of Hodos. The project was obviously empty, its main goal was to get out on the first face of the city.

Confrontation

In 1991 Khodos Eduard Davidovich was appointedhead of the Jewish community in Kharkov. At his invitation, the synagogue was visited by Metropolitan of Kharkov and Vladika Nikodim. In 1992 the city was visited by the security chief of Chabad M. Slonim. From this moment, serious disagreements began between the rabbi of the Kharkov synagogue and this organization.

In June 1992, the city newspaper Vremya reported an explosion under the balcony of the apartment where Eduard Khodos was registered.
In 1993, the same newspaper published material in which were excerpts from a note with threats addressed to the baron.
A year later the Panorama newspaper reported that a shell had been thrown under the door to the chairman of the Jewish community E. Khodos.
In 1995, the Kharkov Prosecutor's Office began receiving materials about the conflict situation between Eduard Davidovich and the representative of Chabad M. Moskovic, who had come from abroad.
In 1997, Khodos was attacked.
A year later a fire broke out in the Kharkov synagogue, the damage from which was colossal.
In 1999, the city authorities evicted their community from there. According to Hodos, the threats began after he entered into an opposition with Chabad.

Philosophy of the Baron

According to Hodos, Chabad is closedkabbalistic religious organization. Edward Davidovich was trained there, but he was never a member of this community. Moreover, in his understanding - Chabad and Jew are incompatible concepts.

In books Hodos Edward Davidovich revealsorganization of Chabad, cites facts. He claims that the most terrible ritual of the sect is the blessing of the dollar. By the way, his own Reb Schneerson blessed with two dollars.

Hodos assures that this is cynical and immoralA ritual in which there are kabbalistic elements. It gives an example that the width of the dollar is 66.6 mm. In other words, the number of Satan is 666. The members of Chabad bless them. It is nothing but the worship of a golden calf.

Khodos Eduard Davidovich argues that inthe last time the influence of Chabad has strengthened. This is the only Jewish sect that interferes with world politics. Their presence had a negative impact both in America and in the countries of the former USSR.

Hodos does not cite any prescriptions to resist this organization. He believes that he has an enlightening role. For this purpose, an alliance was created «HODOS".

Followers and opponents

In 2005, Eduard Davidovich announced the creation ofthe program "HODOS" - the Christian liberation voluntary union. The essence of the program in the name itself is the struggle against the Antichrist and liberation from the Judaic Jewish yoke. As the creator of the organization says, this is a call to the volunteer army and its goal is to stop fascism in any of its manifestations.

Hodos has many followers. Those who sincerely believe his "teaching". This is evidenced by numerous reviews of books and videos on Youtube.

But most readers criticize Hodos andaccuses of spreading myths about the Jewish nation. In addition, many believe that he is trying to spread the ideas of Stalinism in the Orthodox environment and shifts all the sins and crimes of the powerful to Chabad.

Where did Hodos Edward disappear?

In July 2014, Hodos took Orthodoxy, which caused public controversy: some argue that this is true; others say that this is impossible, since Hodos is a rabbi.

He renounced the Talmud and said that Christ was always present in his mind. In October 2015, Hodos Eduard Davidovich nominated his candidacy for the post of mayor in Kharkov. The 70-year-old self-nominated was the oldest of the candidates. He was supported by the Party of Defenders of the Fatherland.

Hodos collects masterpieces of art. At the time of the union was among the greatest connoisseurs of antiques. His collection includes several hundred samples of sculpture, painting, bronze, porcelain, church icons and miniatures. This collection was exhibited in the Manege (in Moscow).
