The normative subsystem of the political system - what is it?

The normative subsystem of the political systemsociety represents the totality of existing norms and rules of conduct, instruments of influence on decision-making and the tradition of political domination. According to the basic principle, such norms and rules of conduct are accepted by all parties involved in political activities. Thus, all the actors a priori agree with the approved "rules of the game", which in any conflict situations remain unchanged, and therefore are fixed in key legal acts: the constitution and constitutional laws. Revising legitimate norms means carrying out a revolution - rejecting old ones and adopting new legal, ethical, cultural and religious standards of conduct.

The normative subsystem of the political system

In the period of its own reformatting, the normative subsystem of the political system ceases to perform functions, namely:

  • Ensuring direct social communication betweenelements of the political system, institutions, social groups, the elite and individual citizens. We must understand that any normative subsystem of the political system, although it has a religious and ethical foundation, is, however, an integral and self-developing structure that actually defines the boundaries of the political structure of the society being built. It is on how the relationship between sub-elements of the political system is established, its efficiency and prospects depend.
Normative subsystem of the political system of society
For example, the gap between the values of the elite and society, the self-government of institutions, the isolation of the latter from the will (expressed primarily in the elections) of citizens threatens to review the approved regulatory rules and requirements. In the event that the normative subsystem of the political system is working properly and without visible system failures, the political building of society is distinguished by grace and utmost simplicity.
  • The functionality of the subsystem determines the principlesthe existence of all elements of the political system, from the election procedure and the formation of a bureaucratic apparatus to the standardized rules of life of political institutions. Uninterrupted operation means having an entrenched political model. And vice versa - if the normative subsystem of the political system fails, it means that it's time to make some adjustments to the dominant political structure of society.
Elements of the regulatory subsystem of the political system
  • The cultural-value subsystem in turnResponsible for the functional of indirect factors that affect people's behavior. First of all, it is a question of the historically formed moral and cultural values that underlie the legal norms and constitutional legislation. Separately, it is necessary to mention the norms of labor ethics, it is precisely its principles that determine the prospects for the economic and social development of society.

Thus, the elements of the regulatory subsystempolitical system - these are traditions, customs, regulations and standards of conduct, as well as laws and other legal acts regulating the political activities of people and social communities. The design of politics does not arise from scratch, it is rooted in the mentality of society. Therefore, not always some political standards adopted by one community can be transformed into a completely different society. The functional system in this sense has always been historically suffered by several generations of citizens.
