"Artificial Tear" preparation is a simple solution in the treatment of dry eye syndrome
Dry eye syndrome is an ailment thatcharacterized by patients' complaints of dryness, stitching, unpleasant sensation in the eyes with signs of reduced secretion of tears, disturbance of tearful pre-corneal film, and with further progression of the disease - corneal damage.
Every year the number of people increases,suffering from a violation of tear production. According to the latest estimates of statisticians, patients with a similar syndrome among ophthalmic patients are in the age group up to 40 years old - 12%, and over 50 years old - more than 67%.
The cause of the pathology becomesnegative influence of environmental factors. The appearance of discomfort caused by dry eyes accompanies the city smog, the effects of air conditioners, and the prolonged wearing of contact lenses, and, of course, a long work at the computer ("office eye syndrome").

Hypromellose, which is part of the remedy"Artificial tear", reproduces and stabilizes the optical parameters of the tear film, and is so effective that it acts similarly to natural tears. The drug acts very "softly" thanks to its boric acid as a preservative, which significantly improves the quality of the eye tissue, avoiding irritation, unlike the traditional preservative, benzalkonium chloride, which is an ingredient in most ophthalmic preparations. Soft contact lenses do not absorb boric acid, which makes it possible to use "Artificial tear" drops, just during the wearing of such lenses.
Indications for the use of artificial tears are the following symptoms:
- keratoectomy, keratoplasty, conditions after plastic interventions on the eyelids, insufficient teardrop;
- elimination and prolongation of protection against irritation of other ophthalmic preparations;
- eye strain, as a result of driving a car or a prolonged activity at the computer;
- irritation under the influence of allergy, salt water, sun, wind, cold, dust, smoke;
- treatment of dry eye syndrome.
Artificial tear. Instructions for use
Apply a medicine for 1-2 dropstopically in the conjunctival lower sac from 4 to 8 times throughout the day. In case of emergency, it is possible to use drops every hour in the same amount. Therapy, at least 2 to 3 weeks. In the study of the eyeball (echobiometric), electrooculography, electroretinography, gonioscopy, instill one drop at a time.
Before instillation of drops "Artificial Tear"contact lenses are removed and re-installed after half an hour. In the case of "blurring" of vision after application of the remedy, it is necessary to refrain from hazardous activities requiring quick reactions, increased concentration of attention, for example, driving vehicles, until the visual ability is fully restored.
Artificial tear - drops that relieveunpleasant sensations and eye diseases, nevertheless, as with any medication, they have contraindications: lactation period, pregnancy, chemical burn of conjunctiva and cornea in the acute phase (until complete clearance from necrotic tissues and toxic substances), as well as hypersensitivity to components included in their composition.
